Marjorie Tracy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Epting Funeral Home - Bentonville on Mar. 30, 2026.
Marjorie "Marge" Marie (Weaver) Tracy of Bella Vista, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Arkansas, following several years of declining health and a sudden critical illness.

Marge was born on January 15, 1936, in Eureka, Kansas, to Willis H. Weaver and Bernice L. (Lewis) Weaver. She was raised in the El Dorado, Kansas area and attended local schools, later continuing her education at Salt City Business College and Hutchinson Community College. She made her home in Hutchinson, Kansas for many years before moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1997 with her husband, Glenn G. Tracy Sr.

She began her career at Philips News before working in the Trust Department at Hutchinson National Bank, now Bank of America. After relocating to Arkansas, she continued working in banking in Gravette and later with Trump Tours.

Marge was deeply involved in her community and professional organizations. She was a lifetime member of the Kansas Parent-Teacher Association and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she held numerous offices. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose and an active member of Credit Professionals International (CPI), serving in various leadership roles including President of the Hutchinson Chapter, as well as Kansas State CPI and District 7 Treasurer. Throughout her years of service, she received multiple honors, including the CPI Mary Jones Award and recognition as Hutchinson Credit Professional and Kansas State & District Seven Credit Professional of the Year on several occasions.

Marge married Glenn G. Tracy Sr. in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kathleen Tracy; her granddaughter, Julie Stephens; three brothers, Ronald D. Weaver, Willis E. Weaver, and Clifford E. Weaver; and one sister, Mary Ann Milner.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: John R. and Vicki Tracy; Glenn G. Tracy Jr. and Rachel Tracy; George and Susan Tracy; and Deborah D. Ingle and her husband, Thomas Ingle. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Johnnie Lou Weaver, along with 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Marge found great joy in working in her yard, especially tending to her many flowerbeds, and had a special talent and love for floral design.

More than anything, she will be remembered for her deep love of family, her strong and independent spirit, and the care she showed to those around her.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00–3:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville, Arkansas. Kansas services will be announced by the family and entrusted to Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson, Kansas. Burial will take place at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Leukemia Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice in care of Elliott Mortuary.
