She Graduated from Coal City, High School with the Class of 1954. On July 24,1954, she married her "Middle School Sweetheart," Edsel Wells.
Marjorie began working as a secretary at Coal City Elementary School until it's closure, then transferred to Spencer Elementary School for a total of 35 years of service.
She was a member of Antioch Christian Church. She was well known for her Sewing talent and sewing for others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Terry Walker; a son, Larry Wells; three grandchildren, Candi (Keith) Provo, Andy (Stacy) Wood and Josh (Valerie) Wells;
Nine great grandchildren, Dillon and Keaton Zufall, Nathan and Ryan Rode, Kelci, Katie and Eli Wood, Abree Wells and Devin Head; a brother, Richard (Carol) Stahl; Brother in Law, Don (Martha) Wells and several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by, her Parents; Husband Edsel; In Laws, Marion and Bessie Wells; a Son in Law, Gary Walker and a Daughter in Law, Denise Wells.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Chris Gehring officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Antioch Christian Church.
