Honoring The Journey of Mark Baron

Mark Timothy Baron, 68, of Clarksville, passed away at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith. He was born on November 15, 1957, in Los Angeles to Velma Louise Baugh and Marvin Arthur Baron. Mark was a proud graduate of El Rancho High School, Class of 1975. Throughout his life, he built a strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He traveled the country as an over-the-road truck driver before choosing routes closer to home to spend more time with those he loved. Over the years, he worked for concrete and dump truck companies, delivered for Coca-Cola and Coors Light, helped make boat molds at Bayliner, and later worked in surveillance for local casinos.

On September 1, 2008, he married the love of his life, Annette Anglen-Baron. He is also lovingly remembered by the mother of his children, Patricia Bakos.

Mark is survived by his devoted wife, Annette Anglen-Baron; his children, Vincent James Baron and Lindsey Rae Baron; Nicholas Ray Baron and Tara Brooke Baron; and Callie Ann Baron; his stepchildren, Austin Terrell Jorgensen and Ashley Jorgensen-Sarah Mae Myers; and his ten cherished grandchildren: Jayden, Emma, Nathan, Kaylea, Timothy, Jazmyne, Maelynn, Jameson, Alice, and Alex. He is also survived by his older brother, John Baron; his niece, Tracy Ann Barrett; his cousin, Susanne Angel; and dear friends, Ed and Tonya Holliday.

Mark had a true passion for life. He enjoyed watching football, NASCAR, and NHRA drag racing. He loved participating in and promoting local car shows, especially those benefiting others. He had a deep appreciation for the beach and its easygoing vibes, a great love for Mexican food, and took pride in his plants, yardwork, and home projects. Above all, music was his greatest joy. He loved attending concerts and was especially fond of Sammy Hagar, Journey, Van Halen, and Evanescence. He also dearly loved his cat, "Bitty-Bit," and his yard helper cat, "Tiny."

Mark will be remembered as the life of the party - someone who loved to help others whenever he could. He was a dedicated provider and caregiver, a man who spoke his mind and wasn't afraid to "say it like it is." Though he could be short-tempered at times, it often brought laughter and stories that will be shared for years to come. His greatest love was for his wife, children, and grandchildren, who were the center of his world.

Private services will be held at a later date.
