Robin Shearer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by River Glenn Cremations & Funeral Services on Feb. 20, 2026.
A Life Remembered, A Legacy Cherished

Robin Ellen Shearer, 62, of Alma, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 14th, 2026 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by love. Robin was born on January 5, 1964, in Aurora, Colorado, to Aba Kiyoko Watanabe Masengale and Clay London Masengale. On November 23, 1991, she married the love of her life, Gordon Shearer, at Green Mountain Baptist Church. Together they built a Christ-centered home and shared 34 years of faithful marriage.

Robin earned her Bachelor of Science in International Business from Colorado State University and the University of Colorado Denver. She worked for the US Bureau of Reclamation and served as an EPA Enforcement Specialist with the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Over the years, she also dedicated herself to being a homeschool educator and worked at Pro Therapy and Cracker Barrel. In every role, Robin was known for her diligence, integrity, and servant's heart.

A devoted born-again believer, Robin was sold out for Jesus. Her faith defined her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and loved others almost as much. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend. Robin found joy in scrapbooking, taking autumn color drives, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was actively involved with Shannon's Hope, A Caring Pregnancy Center, Samaritan's Purse (including Operation Christmas Child), and Cooperative Care, faithfully serving and supporting ministries that reflected her compassion and love for others.

Robin is survived by her husband, Gordon Shearer; her four children: Christina Jakopic (Michael), Aaron Shearer, Alex Shearer, and Alaina Shearer; and her three beloved grandchildren, Annamarie, Adalina, and Naomi. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed by her unwavering faith and generous spirit.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Road to Zion Bible Church. A celebration of Robin's life will take place Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the church, officiated by Pastor Doug Young.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robin's memory to Reynolds Cancer Support House or Mercy Health Foundation. Robin will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her radiant kindness, and her deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the eternal hope she so confidently proclaimed. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
