It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Andrew Bednar on March 4, 2022 at the age of 54, in his home in Avon Lake, Ohio. He was surrounded by loved ones up until the end. During his four year battle with gastrointestinal cancer he was the symbol of strength and determination.
Born in Lakewood on December 20, 1967, he was the eldest son of the late Judyth and Norman Bednar. Mark graduated class of '87 from North Olmstead High School. He spent 15 years working as a Landscaping Foreman for ForeverGreen Lawn Care before he went on to start his own landscaping company. He will always be remembered for his hard work ethic and love for Ultima Online, LEGO®, and sports.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Adam Bednar-Rainey. He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 23 years, Jaime Bednar. Four children, Kristen Ingram (Colin), Tiffanie Bednar (Adrian), Michael Bednar (Deona), and Hope Bednar. A brother and best friend, Matthew Bednar. Six grandchildren, Chase, Violet, Alexis, Izabella, Isaac, and Juliet. Several nieces and nephews along with his faithful companion cat, Rocky.
Viewing services will be held at 10am-12pm on Tuesday, March 8 2022 at Busch Funeral Home in Avon Lake with funeral services proceeding immediately after. Graveside services will follow at his final resting place of Holy Trinity cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with last minute expenses.
