Mark Beech Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Doak-Howell Funeral Home on Dec. 28, 2025.
Mark Anthony Beech, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend was born on September 3, 1962, in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He peacefully passed away on December 23 after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Mark's life was marked by love and laughter.
Mark was the son of James E. (Fuzz) and Beulah Elmore Beech who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. He was preceded in death by his dear brother and best friend, David Beech, whose absence will forever be felt by those who knew them both. Mark is survived by his three loving children, Britany (Timothy) Pittenger of Kelso, TN; Amy (Aaron) Milstone of Franklin, TN; and Joshua Damron of Unionville, TN as well as his siblings Tommy (Pamela) Beech; Ricky (Mandy) Beech; and JoAnn Adams (Steve Lynch). His legacy also includes five cherished grandchildren; Daisy and Emma Rae Pittenger; Bradley (Mackenzie) Milstone; Lauren Milstone and Benjamin Milstone, who brought him immense joy and pride.
A graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, Mark had a varied employment history, working for several companies throughout his life until his health no longer allowed him to continue. His resilience was a testament to his character.
Mark was known for his love of sports. He was an avid fan of baseball, football, basketball and racing. He also cherished the time he spent fishing. His passion for sports extended beyond mere observation; he dedicated many years to coaching youth baseball and softball, passionately imparting his knowledge and love of the game to young athletes. Many nights and weekends were spent either on the ball field or in a gym. If you didn't see him there, he was probably in front of a television cheering on his beloved Tennessee Vols. His enthusiasm for the team was contagious.
Mark's personality was larger than life; he was often the life of the party, known for his stubbornness and unique sense of humor. His ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him was one of his most defining traits. He had an outgoing nature that drew people to him and his friendships were meaningful.
Mark's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on January 2, 2026, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home, from 4 PM until 7 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Association) at https;//www2.breakthrought1d.org, or to Alzheimer's Tennessee, Inc., South Central TN office, 309 Jackson St, Suite 1, Tullahoma, TN 37388.
Mark Anthony Beech will be remembered not only just for his love of family and sports, but also for his infectious spirit and the laughter he brought into the lives of everyone he met. He had a profound impact on his family and community that will be cherished forever. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
