Mark Stephen "Buddy" Bellamy, Sr.

1962 - 2026

Mark Stephen "Buddy" Bellamy, Sr., 63, of Ninety Six, passed away peacefully at his home on February 9, 2026.

Born June 2, 1962, Mark was the son of the late James Rolland Bellamy, Sr. and Mamie Todd Everett. He was the devoted husband of Cheryl Goldman Bellamy, with whom he shared 41 loving years of marriage.

Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College. He spent many years working at ZF Transmission in Gray Court, where he later retired.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Heather Wrenn and her husband Mark of Greenwood; his son, Mark Stephen Bellamy, Jr. (Annie) of Ninety Six; and two cherished grandchildren, Kyler Byington and Lucas Wrenn. He is also survived by his brother, Larry W. Bellamy (Cynthia) of Loris, SC, and his sister, LeRhonda Byrd (Douglas) of Cordele, GA and sister-in-law Aurelia Bellamy. He is also survived by his faithful "fur son," Hank.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, James R. Bellamy, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, at Blyth Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Mark Stephen Bellamy, Jr., Gary Bellamy, Kevin Bellamy, Dick Stroup, Mark Wrenn, Kyler Byington, Will Stroup, Carson Ginn, and Logan Ginn. Honorary escort will be provided by the Greenwood Corvette Club and the Rock N Roll Cruisers.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Cancer Center and Infusion Center of Self Regional Medical Center, as well as the Greenwood Corvette Club, the Rock N Roll Cruisers, Kip Goldman, and Linda Wells for their care, support, and friendship.
