Mark Alexander Bruce, born on August 4, 1974, in Commerce, Georgia, passed away on December 13, 2025, in his beloved hometown. Mark was a dedicated chef where he shared his passion for cooking with the community, creating memorable meals and cherished experiences for family and friends alike.
Throughout Mark's journey in life he loved his Tennessee Volunteers, fishing, dirt track racing on Saturday's and Nascar Racing on Sunday's. He was known for his infectious smile, and humor that drew people in from miles around.
Mark leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted spouse, Angie Moss Bruce; his mother, Kathryn (Kenneth) Cowart; and his beloved children, Chelsea' (Jared) Geiger and Steven (Avi) Harris. He was also a proud grandfather to Messiah, Malcom, Carter, and Isaiah, who brought immense joy and fulfillment to his life. Mark is survived by his sister, Marie (Jason) Jordan, and brothers Kent (Mindy) Bruce and Terrence (Kesha) Bruce, and nieces and nephews who will forever cherish their memories of him.
In addition to his family, Mark is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Richie, and grandparents Zadie Adams, Lillie Mae Richie, and Leonard Richie, who have now welcomed him into their embrace.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mark's life during visitation at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, Georgia, on December 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 2:00 PM.
Mark Alexander Bruce touched many lives and will be remembered for his contributions to both his profession and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue to live on through the hearts of his family and the countless individuals he inspired throughout his life.
