Mark W. Clemans, 92, of Milford Center, passed away Saturday evening, May 6, 2023, at Bedrock Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Lake Eustis in
Eustis, Florida, after months of failing health.
Mark was born June 18, 1930 at the family home in Milford Center to the late Cecil A. and Ruth E. (Lewis) Clemans. He was a lifelong professional truck driver who also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, even in to his 80's. A man of strong faith, he was a longtime member of the Milford Center United Methodist Church and remained active in many church activities through the years.
Mark married the former Mary F. Cullinan on June 6, 1952 in Mechanicsburg, and together they shared of love of traveling and had many adventures together. They drove US Route 1 from the most northern part of Maine down to
Key West, Florida, and visited 49 of the 50 states. They spent many years traveling to places such as Rome, Corsica and Sardinia visiting their family during their military placements. In later years they visited their grandchildren often in Seattle, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on an Alaskan Cruise.
Mark is survived by his children, Larry (Mary) Clemans of Marysville, Juanita (Ed) Angelbeck of
Port Orchard, Washington, Denise (Jeff) Fultz of Lakeview, and Evelyn Keenan of Texas; grandchildren Angela (Doug) Lowney, Colleen Clemans, Larry (Lisa) Clemans II, Heather (Gregg Hileman) Angelbeck, Audrey Angelbeck, Heath (Terri) Angelbeck, Clarissa (Bryan) Herrick, Todd (Alana) Fultz, Josh (Meredith) Fultz, Justin (Jenn) Fultz, Isaac (Ashlee) Arnold & John Arnold; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law Theda Clemans and Linda Longbrake; step son-in-law Glenn Thompson and his family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary, on November 12, 2007 after 55 years of marriage; infant son Mark Joseph; step-daughter Lida Jane Thompson; sisters Janet Dailey and M. Jane Primm; brothers Joseph R., Orison A., Herbert L., Robert J. Clemans and Phillip P. Clemans; and a brother-in-law John Dailey.
After Mark has "one last ride" home from Florida, funeral services to celebrate Mark's life will be held on June 3rd at 1 pm at the Milford Center United Methodist Church with Pastor Pam Connolly officiating. Burial will follow next to Mark's loving wife, Mary, at the Milford Center Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to service time beginning at 12 noon at the church.
