Mark A. Cornwell, 60, our hard-working, determined, caring, and loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 18, 2025.
Mark was born on February 5,1965, to William and Dianne (Furton) Cornwell. Mark truly enjoyed being a handy man to many. He found joy in life's simple pleasures—whether it was savoring a sweet treat, casting a line while fishing, or going on pontoon rides on North Lake. He enjoyed being a part of the Vassar and Mayville Eagles Club, as well as the USBC Greater Thumb Area. Mark was an active participant in local bowling leagues, where he spent memorable Thursday nights with Mike's Logging League and Monday nights with Josh Topham's League. He also helped coach Millington Youth football and baseball. He will be forever loved and missed by so many.
Mark is forever loved by wife: Noel Cornwell; mother, Dianne Cornwell; siblings: Kelly (Tim) Bonam, George (Mandy) Nitchie, Bruce (Frankie) Rogers, Rhonda Glenn, Pam (Guy) Furton, and Bill (Rhonda) Cornwell; nieces and nephews, McKenzie (Colton) Diener, Audrey (Nate) Hackney, Tabitha (Brandon) Bonam, Maleatha (Ali) Muslumani, CodieJo Francisco, Neko Francisco, Roy Bonam and Jasmine Rogers; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, William Cornwell; grandparents, George Furton, and Geraldine Pruitt; and sister, Tammy Haas.
A Celebration of Life for Mark will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Mayville Lanes Bowling Alley (429 E Main St, Mayville, MI, 48744).
