Mark Charles Daggy, 75, of Des Moines and Humboldt, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in Des Moines.

Mark was born August 6, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Charles and Mary (Pitstick) Daggy. He grew up in Humboldt County and graduated from Humboldt High School where he gained a passion for wrestling. He then attended Iowa State University where he studied and continued to compete in wrestling. Mark enlisted in the United States Army and served as a Green Beret Medic, greatly enjoying the challenge and excitement of parachuting, scuba diving and using his training to aid people in the countries he was deployed.

On June 1,1974 Mark was united in marriage to LeeAnn Hanson. The couple made their home in Humboldt for a brief time and later Ames and Des Moines. They were blessed with (4) sons. A huge part of Mark’s aspiration in life was dedicated to being a husband and father.

Mark was a farmer and a printer and enjoyed pursuing many entrepreneurial endeavors. Which included dreaming big, finding new opportunities, making deals and working hard to achieve goals. Having grown up on the Daggy Farm fostered a love of the land with the planning, planting and harvesting of crops. He had a powerful passion for the unborn and right to life and served on the board for Iowa Right to Life. He wore his Christian faith on his sleeve and would share the gospel with anyone he met.

Mark is survived by his wife LeeAnn Daggy of Des Moines and his children; Matt (Kristen) Daggy of Grand Junction, Colorado and their children; Adelaide, Keon, Boaz, Edan, Naomi, Levi, Axel and Daphne; Mick Daggy of Des Moines, Iowa; Micah (Celeste) Daggy of Colorado Springs, Colorado and their daughter Acelia; and Macenzy (Leslie) Daggy of Tucson, Arizona and their children Macenzy and Artemis, his siblings; Nancy Gephart, Kathy (Dennis) Scheidt, Marilyn (Mark) Doebel and Jone (Les) Guderian.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home at 612 Second Avenue South, Humboldt, Iowa. www.masonlindhart.com

A private burial with military honors, by the Sathers-Ogaard VFW & American Legion, will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt.
