Mark L. Dirr
OAKWOOD – Mark L. Dirr, 66, of Oakwood, passed away at 10:38 a.m., Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Park View Care Center, Edgerton. He was born October 6, 1959, in Defiance to the late Alonzo and Marjorie (Franzdorf) Dirr.
He is survived by two children: Jennifer (Phillip) Spangler and Katie Dirr, both of Oakwood; two grandchildren: Lucy and Lilly; and three sisters: Diane (Terry) Salisbury of Defiance, Amy (Gary) Fortman of Avilla, IN and Melissa (Steve) Harvey of Lima.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Hillary Dirr; and a step-granddaughter, Kyndall Wagner.
Mark was a truck driver. He enjoyed boating, cars, watching NASCAR, football and was an avid fan of The Ohio State University and San Francisco 49ers. Mark loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Perry Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and again on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
