Mark W. Duhamell, 73, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, June 26, 2025. He was born on October 27, 1951, in Franklin, Indiana, to Theodore R. Duhamell and Elizabeth (Phelps) Duhamell. Mark is survived by his two loving daughters, Jennifer Marie Turner (Royce) and Amy Michelle Noe (Jason); four cherished grandchildren, Haley Noe, Quentin Noe, Avery Turner, and Kaden Turner; and his brother, Blair Duhamell. He was preceded in death by his parents and other loved ones. Mark was a proud 1969 graduate of Whiteland Community High School. He and his family owned Johnson County Beverage, which later became part of Monarch Beverage, where Mark continued his career as a beer salesman. Mark was a proud and active member of The American Legion for 28 years, where he was deeply involved with Sons of the American Legion Squadron 355. His steadfast dedication to promoting the mission and values of the organization earned him several honors throughout his years of service. He was awarded a Citation for Meritorious Service in November 2016, a Detachment Certificate of Appreciation in January 2018, and a Squadron Certificate of Appreciation on February 1, 2020, recognizing his ongoing commitment to the principles of the Sons of the American Legion. Mark's leadership and contributions left a lasting impact on his fellow members and the community. He was also a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he enjoyed fellowship and supporting charitable causes that aligned with his generous spirit. In his free time, Mark enjoyed golfing and spending time on the course with friends. He was also known for generously giving his time and support to family, friends, and neighbors. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, located at 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin, IN 46131. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
Mark will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his community, and the warmth, kindness, and generosity he shared with all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mark's honor to: American Legion Post #355 7610 S. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46217
