Mark Edward Earhart, 68, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
He was born on June 27, 1957, in Staunton to the late Richard Andy and Betty Sislica Helmick Earhart.
Mark was well known throughout the area for his work as a vinyl and carpet installer. He also worked for Cerro Metal in Weyers Cave as a machine operator.
Outside of work, he enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved hunting. He was also a longtime fan of professional wrestling.
He is survived by his wife, Elna Catherine “Cathi” Earhart; his sister, Brenda Pauline Tankesley and her husband, Joe; his stepson, Chris Lockridge (Jill Dunbrack); grandson, CPL. Noah Lockridge; granddaughter, Rylee Lockridge; his step granddaughters, Meagan and Hillary Fitzgerald; his step great-granddaughters, Hannah, Hallie, Evelyn , Elaina, Lilly, and LaRiah; his special nephew, Ricky Earhart (Amber Bennett), who he helped raise for three years and loved as a son; numerous other nieces and nephews; and furrever friend, Abby.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Richard, Barry Steven, and David Earhart.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home Chapel in Staunton with Pastor Tom Rosemeier officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM.
