Mark was born August 8, 1964, in Belleville, New Jersey, to his parents James and Marie Ferraro. He was rasied in Cedar Grove and attended Memorial High School, Cedar Grove NJ. He continued his education at Morris County Community College, then Montclair State University, before attending UMDNJ Dental School, graduating with honors in 1995. Mark was the owner and sole proprietor of Ferraro Family Dentistry in Barnegat, New Jersey for the past 20 years.
Mark loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding and working on dirt bikes with his son Joseph. He treasured spending time with his family at the races, and when he wasn't racing, he was encouraging his daughter Nicolina to be a strong, self-sufficient woman. Mark was a member of the East Coast Enduro Association and the Ocean County Competition Riders. Faith & Family were an integral part of his life. You could always find him and his devoted wife Doreen at St. Mary's Church which was their second home.
He was a greatly loved husband, father, son, and brother. Mark left behind his loving wife of 27 years, Doreen Ferraro, their children, Joseph and Nicolina, father, James Ferraro, sister and brother, Michele and John Ferraro, sister-in-law JoAnn D'Anton and her husband Victor, nephew Anthony D'Anton, niece Victoria Passarelli and her husband Gytano and great-niece, Valen along with his favorite small companion, his toy poodle, Stella. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Ferraro.
A Visitation will be offered on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 2:00 pm at St. Mary of the Pines, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Burial will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, NJ 07031. Arrangements are under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 335 South Main St., Barnegat.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mark's memory to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 609, Barnegat, NJ 08005 or the Ferraro Family for Mark's and Doreen's children's education, Riggs Funeral Home, Attn: Ferraro Family, P.O. Box 363, Forked River, NJ 08731.

Even though this is late, we wish to convey our deep sympathies to Doreen, Joseph and Nicolina on the loss of their dear husband and father. He was our dentist for 9 years once we moved to the Shore area, and was recommended by our dentist where we lived up north. We really loved Dr. Ferraro for his skill and caring bedside manner and will miss him very much. May he continue to rest in peace.

Doreen~ George and I were heartbroken to hear of Marks passing. I´m so sorry we missed his services. He was our dentist for over 20 yrs. The Fraim Family is so sad to hear about Dr. Ferraro's passing. He was our dentist for the past 16 years when we moved to Barnegat and my kids absolutely adored him as they got to watch Sponge Bob on the TV's on the ceiling when they were getting their clean up! My kids are now 25, 19 and 14 and still love him! He was always so kind and made our dentist visits so relaxed! The Ferraro family is in our thoughts and prayers.
