We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mr. Mark Glaude. Mark is the son to our loving and dedicated staff member, Mrs Shelby Glaude Hawkins here at MILLENDER's Funeral Home.
Mr. Mark DaRell Glaude was born November 20th, 1967 to Shelby Tait Hawkins and the late Herman Peter Glaude, Jr., in Pascagoula, MS.
He attended Mrs. Jones Kindergarten, St. Peters the Apostle Catholic School, Ed Mayo Junior High, and graduated from Moss Point High School in the class of 1985. After graduating high school, Mark attended the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Perkinston Campus for one year. He was accepted into an apprenticeship program at Ingalls Shipbuilding which he completed and as a result was employed as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for several years.
Mark made the decision to become a nurse in 1991 and began his journey at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2004. Mark worked as an Emergency Room Triage Nurse at USA Providence Hospital until his untimely passing on October 30th, 2025.
In 2001, Mark's nephew Charles, known to everyone as "Donovan" was born. They formed a bond like no other, morelike father and son. In 2002, Marks' son, Mark Landon Glaude known to everyone as "Landon" came into the world as his father's pride. Together, they enjoyed fishing trips, watching WWE wrestling, skating, cooking together, popping fireworks, playing video games, and attending family cookouts. Mark also shared a special bond with his youngest niece, Alisha Janay McNeil (named for his sister and her grandmother, Tracey Alisha Glaude). He had to see her almost every other weekend. He loved all his nieces and nephews. They were all special to him. Mark loved his mother. She meant the world to him and there was nothing that he would not do for her.
A few of Landon's fondest memories spent with his dad include an Alligator Swamp Tour, a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to visit Dollywood and Ruby Falls and working a shift with his dad one night in the Emergency Room.
Mark was a dedicated nurse. He absolutely loved working as a triage nurse in the Emergency Room. Outside of work he loved to fish, cook, go to shooting ranges, read and spend time with his family. He also enjoyed trying new restaurants and watching college football. He was a huge fan of the Auburn Tigers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Peter Glaude Jr.; sisters, Robin Michelle Glaude and Tracey Alisha Glaude; grandparents, Robert Edward, Sr. and Juretha Tait, Herman Peter, Sr., and Bernice Glaude; uncles, Gerald Glaude, Adrian Glaude and Charles Glaude; aunts, Patricia Glaude, Delores Ashford, Jerolyn Rasco, Vickie Tait and Christine Cole-Lett; his nephew, Christopher Galloway; uncle, Rufus Hawkins and cousins Eric England and Tiffany Glaude.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
