Mark S. Hamblin

Mark Stephen Hamblin, age 66, of Clyde Twp., Michigan, passed away on October 17, 2025, surrounded by family and shepherded into eternal life with Jesus Christ while hearing the words of Psalm 23.
Mark was born to his parents, Gaylord and Evelyn (Mikat) Hamblin, on November 16, 1958, in Yale, Mich. An avid traveler and Harley Davidson enthusiast from a young age, Mark enjoyed riding his motorcycle as often as possible - a passion he shared with his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Ana. Together, they made many memories and friends through cross-country trips and local rides alike.
Mark worked at Ford Motor Company's Romeo Engine Plant for 30 years. In retirement, he loved spending as much time as possible with his five beloved grandchildren: Claire, Audrey, Adam, Parker, and Adeline, who all brought him immense joy. He will forever be remembered as the best Opa in the world, always ready to play every game they requested, listening intently to their stories, and grinning from ear to ear as he took them on tractor rides around the land on his and Ana's home.
Above all else, Mark was a child of God. Whether in deep study of the Bible or listening to all varieties of Christian music (which served as a special connection with his granddaughter, Audrey), he had a heart deeply rooted in Christ and was faithful to share the truth of the gospel whenever he could. We know Mark is now enjoying neverending life in the presence of our Savior, whole and healed in body, mind, and spirit.
In addition to his devoted wife and dear grandchildren, Mark is survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Evelyn Smerklo; stepmother, Audrey Meharg; brother, Jeffrey (Carla) Hamblin; sons, Chad Hamblin (Felicia Rush) and Nicholas (Kate) Storey; nephew, Cole (Juliann and son Milo) Hamblin; niece, Bridgette (Kyle) O'Rourke; stepsister, Amy (Bill) Vogelsberg; and stepbrother, Jeff (Kay) Meharg. He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylord; stepfather, Donald Smerklo; and his beloved daughter, Desiree Storey.
