In Loving Memory of Mark Warren Hasbargen

Mark Warren Hasbargen, a man whose youthful energy, playful spirit, and deep faith touched all who knew him, passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 62. His life was a vibrant celebration of laughter, love, and simple pleasures.

Mark served his country faithfully as a sergeant in the U.S. Army with tours in Korea and Germany. He retired after serving in the Army Reserve in West Virginia as a supply sergeant.

Raised in the Lutheran faith, Mark found strength and joy in his relationship with God. He cherished singing in the choir and drew comfort and inspiration from worship and fellowship.

Beyond his faith-life, Mark was an avid golfer and bowler, a passionate sports fan, and a man who relished fishing and crabbing in the Gulf of Mexico. His loyalty to the Washington Commanders and Notre Dame football was only rivaled by his dedication to holding the TV remote control during game days. Yet, even with his playful antics, Mark demonstrated his caring heart through his weekly tradition of bringing flowers to his beloved wife, a gesture that symbolized his unwavering love.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Edith and his brother Gerald, Jr. He leaves behind Judy, his wife of 30 years, his son William Hasbargen and his partner Jessica Coleman, his stepdaughters Alice Purcell (Jaime), Karen Beach (Barry), and Kimberly Brown (Mark), sister Gloria Combs, sister-in-law Brenda Hasbargen, stepmother Ann Hasbargen, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will treasure the memories of his delight in movie clips, commercials, and Youtube videos. His legacy is one of joy, devotion, and a life well-lived in service to God and those he loved.

In his honor, may we all strive to live with the same playful spirit, deep faith, and boundless love that Mark carried in his heart every day.
