Mark Herschbach Obituary

Published by Legacy on Apr. 8, 2025.
Mark Silas Herschbach was born on November 19, 1938 and entered eternity on April 5, 2025 after a prolonged battle with complications from both kidney failure and diabetes. He touched many lives and is already greatly missed by those that knew him. He was born in San Jose, California. He graduated from Campbell High School and briefly attended San Jose State University. He worked for Pacific Bell for over 40 years and after retiring from there, went on to work in the telecom industry for many more years. After retirement, he first worked in his wife's classroom and later his daughter's classroom helping many first and second grade students over the years. He loved woodworking, camping, hunting, spending time with his family, and time reading the bible. He also loved spending time at Mount Hermon Christian Conference center every year. He is survived by his daughter Heidi and grandson Stephen. He is also survived by his younger sister, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of over 50 years, Janey as well as his son, Timothy. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eva and his 5 half brothers and 1 half sister. Family and faith were the most important things in Mark's life. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age. He never wavered in his beliefs. Even at the end, his biggest concerns were about friends and family that were not Christians and getting the gospel message out to the unsaved. His biggest hope for his family and friends was that they would come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior also. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 12th at 11: 30. It will be held at First Baptist Community Church. The address is 17765 Daves Ave. Monte Sereno, CA 95030. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to First Baptist Community Church or Mount Hermon. Gifts to FBCC can be mailed to the above address or online at https://fblosgatos.org/giveonline where a missions fund in Mark's name is being set up Memorial gifts to Mount Hermon can be mailed to PO Box 413, Mount Hermon, CA 95041 or given online at https://www.mounthermon.org/give/ Please indicate on your check or online donation that this is in memory of Mark Herschbach
