Helen Herschbach Obituary

Helen Herschbach passed away peacefully at home in Rancho Bernardo, CA on February 27, 2025 at the age of 94. She was born in 1930 in Chicago, IL to Emma (nee Uhle) Fowler and Raymond Fowler.
Helen was a longtime resident of Hammond/Munster, IN until 1977 when she relocated Poway/Rancho Bernardo, CA where she resided for the next 49 years. She was a homemaker, lifetime member of the San Diego County Republican Party, a member of the Rancho Bernardo Presbyterian Church and she supported many charitable organizations. Helen was an avid music and animal lover and her newspapers always kept her up to date on current events. She was a fan of the San Diego Padres and a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and will be deeply missed. Helen is survived by her daughter, Rae Lynn (Dennis) Knight of Aurora, IL; her son, Jack Herschbach of Rancho Bernardo, CA; her son, Stephen Herschbach (Monique) of Morgan Hill, CA; and her daughter, Kristina (Alan) Fink of Dallas, TX; she is also survived by her granddaughters, Jennifer Maher, Amy (Sergio) Galindo, Alexandra Fink and Amanda Fink; and three great-grandsons, Lucas, Jack and Peter Galindo.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at KISH FUNERAL HOME in Munster, IN with Burial following at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Helen's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Shriner's Hospital for Children. www.kishfuneralhome.net.
