Francine Carr, age 88, passed away on February 14, 2026. She was born on December 10, 1937, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Lynn and Margaret (Frias) Baylor.
Francine graduated from high school in Campbell, California. She worked for Marlington City Schools as a secretary for Washington Elementary for 28 years, a cook for 4 years, and a bus aide until her retirement.
Francine was a member of Beechwood United Methodist. She served as Washington Township clerk for four years and was a member of the Carnation Sew Happy Quilters. Francine enjoyed the Houston Brumbaugh and Wilmont Wilderness Centers. She was also a devout blood donor for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robin and Robert Carr; daughters, Kathy Green, Susanne Neal and Jodene Battershell; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Carr; sisters, Cora Belle Tallent, Mae Easton, and Norma Jones; brother, Harold Stone; and son-in-law, Terry Green.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, February 20th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beechwood Methodist Church, 3450 Beechwood Ave, Alliance, OH 44601.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice care team members that dealt with her ornery personality and treated her like their own family member, including Rachel Sanor, Kelli DiFrancisco-Day, Tina McDonald, and Adreanna Halwig.
