Mark Johnson, 75, of Irma, WI passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at his home. Mark was born June 14, 1949 in Merrill, WI, the son of Alfred and Laura (Smith) Johnson. He was united in marriage to Patricia Mitchell on December 4, 1987 in Irma.
Mark worked for and retired from the USPS as a rural mail carrier in Merrill for 33 years. Previously, he was a house painter for the family business. He was a current member of the Tomahawk Lions Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, raising many pets over the years, Packer football, mallo cups, barbequing/smoking meats, shopping, gadgets of any kind, building model airplanes, and riding around on his 4-wheeler. He LOVED where he lived, “Johnson Park”. Anyone who ever met Mark was blessed. He was a kind, funny, gentle, and loving man. We were lucky to have him as long as we did.
Surviving are his wife and best friend of 36 years, Pat; daughter, Dawn (Matt) Schumitsch, Kronenwetter; son, Sammuel Smith, Henderson, NV; daughters, Keri; Turena Johnson (Joe); Rochelle; many grandchildren, and special ones to mention, Wyatt (Ann); Emma, Michael (Jazmyn); Kate, Hunter (Stephanie); special great-grandchild, Evie; and many more great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Beyer, Merrill; brother, David (Roxie) Johnson, Merrill; numerous nieces and nephews; special nephew, Dean Johnson and special longtime friend Barb Canne.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Johnson.
The celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a special Remembrance at 6:30 P.M. at Krueger-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 101 N 2nd Street, Tomahawk, WI.
