Mark Juenemann of Mahopac, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the age of 69. Mark was born in McMinnville, Oregon on June 11, 1955 and was the son of Walter and Martha (Bernards) Juenemann.
Mark was the safety officer at Blue Mountain Sportsman Center in Cortlandt Manor, NY where he took pride in enhancing the facilities and creating community. Previous to this, his desire to understand how things work, lead him to be a technical problem solver and network engineer. His approach was to repair rather than discard. Mark, no doubt, never found a motor he did not find fascinating. With his skillset, the Dixon Lake neighborhood friends will miss his time, talents and genuine eagerness to help.
Known as a hobbyist over the years, his interests range from scuba diving, sailing, dirt biking, geocaching and camping. He loved music and was talented at playing his guitars and accordion. He had a genuine interest in others, with the ability to turn a stranger into a friend with one conversation.
Mark married Nancy Pulsfort at Grand Teton National Park in Jackson, WY in 1996. In addition to Nancy, he is survived by his daughters, Julia and her fiancé, John Speers of Greenfield, MA and Sarah Juenemann of Mahopac, NY. He is also survived by his brother, Glenn Juenemann of Sequim, WA and sister, Mary Juenemann Gardner of Yamhill, OR and Jeff Juenemann, a close cousin, of Harrisburg, OR. He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Charles and his sister, Anne Juenemann Brown.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, May 17 from 3-5 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. At a later date, a celebration of life and internment of his remains will take place at Pike Cemetery in Yamhill, OR.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Mark to "Cowboys for a Cure" (Type in "cowboys for a cure" in the search bar and select the Mahopac team) Relay for Life team, created in his honor.

Mark was more than a coworker, he was a friend. He loved laughing at our juvenile humor and pranks and his PB&J for lunch. He was always ready with a story about how things were done in Oregon. He will be missed by his family at Blue Mountain.

A dear and trusted friend, fellow hunter and outdoorsman. A curious and ingenious mind always ready to tinker. A seemingly endless source of tales of yore and folksy expressions.
A kindred soul. Miss you buddy.
