Richard A. Juenemann- age 80, passed away with his family by his side on September 14, 2024 after a brief illness. Rick was the fourth child of Marie and Eddie Juenemann (The Eddie Juenemann Orchestra). He went to St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. He attended St Joseph’s College in Indiana and graduated with an accounting degree and teaching certificate from Walsh University in North Canton. While attending college, Rick worked part time at Capital Plastics Inc. in Massillon. He then went on to teach English and speech at Norwayne High School in Creston, Ohio. Rick spent the next 38 years working at Capital Plastics as general manager and then vice president.
In 1960 Rick earned his Eagle Scout with Troop 16 through Saint Joseph’s Church. Scouting held a very special place in the life and heart of Rick. He was passionate about music, sailing, golfing, swimming, camping, and his love of the outdoors which he passed onto his family. He was a proud and active member of the Friends of the Corvair Club and served as their president and vice president for many of the 20 years of his membership.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Edward Juenemann Sr. and Matilda Marie (Frank) Juenemann, step-mother Evelyn Siddall Juenemann, brother J. Edward Juenemann Jr. (Bud), sister JoAnn Marie Masline. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne Marie (Dressler) Juenemann, brother M. Thomas Juenemann of Windsor, ME, step-sister Nancy Luellen of FL, daughters Amie (Mattthew) Diamond of Hilton Head, SC, and Kendra (Craig) Cureton of North Canton along with 8 grandchildren- Addison (Morgan) Crawford, Julia, Ethan, and Grace Crawford, Nicole Cureton, Max, Chloe, and Charlie Diamond.
A celebration of life gathering will take place in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following:
