Mark Kimmel Obituary

Mark Hadley Kimmel, 66, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. An active member of Northside Christian Church, Mark was known affectionately as everyone’s "tech guy," always ready to assist those around him with his extensive knowledge and skills. He had a profound love for his family, which included adoring his cherished grandchildren.

Born on December 30, 1958, in Indianapolis, Mark was the son of the late Max Hadley Kimmel and Shirley (Smith) Walls. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Walls, his brother, Scott Walls and infant sister, Debra.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of over 38 years, Anne (Geis) Kimmel, and his children, Mason Kimmel (Charlotte) and Meredith Lissegardh (Oscar). He is also remembered by his sister, Karen Robling (Brian), his brother, David Walls, and his beloved grandchildren, Lucy, Leighton, and Harvey.

An avid traveler, Mark found joy in exploring the world onboard many cruise ships and hiking through the breathtaking trails of the Great Smokey Mountains. His zest for life and love for his family will be deeply missed.

Mark's wish was to be cremated, and a gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany.
