Happy New Year to Mark and the rest of the Komar family. 2024 has been wild without him....but the team could not have done what we accomplished with the constraints we've had if not for him. While there isn't enough thanks in the world to express our gratitude, thank you. This year goes in the books for you

Mark always knew how to light up the room and inspire those around him. Always a joy to chat with, he was also a great teacher ready to share his extensive expertise. I'll be forever grateful for the privilege to work with such a great guy.

Mark was dedicated, reliable and inspirational. Will miss talking to him about RIT Hockey, everything about football and all the pools he ran. I will miss the corniest of corny names he game the players drafted in Fantasy Football the most. The larger the groans from everyone else, the better he felt. A huge thank you goes out to Mark's parents for getting him to the events we had the past few years. They wouldn't have been the same without him. RIP my friend, have fun watching RIT and the Jets from your Penthouse view.

Mark was my mentor when I started as a Programmer at Paychex in 2001.
He would sneak up on me in my cube and let out his classic smirky laugh.
I had the pleasure of attending some RIT Corner Crew hockey games, playing chess and poker at lunch, and working with Mark.
He always gave life his all, with a smile on his face and passion in his heart.
Rest easy, Captain Millennium. You'll be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

I have nothing but love and support for all of Mark's family and friends. In the brief 2 years I've known him, I've come to thoroughly enjoy and appreciate his knowledge, insight, and all-around bubbly personality. I'm going to miss nerding out about Marvel movies and Star Wars shows with him. I'm sure he is in a better place, and he rightfully deserves it.
Nothing but love for the man, the myth, the legend: Mark Komar. Rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. He was a very knowledgeable co-worker at Paychex with an amazing, dedicated work ethic. Mark loved his family so much, you could tell when he spoke of them, he would light up! Mark will be truly missed by many, prayers to the family during this difficult time.

Mark, I will miss you so much. You lived through adversity with a smile on your face and joy in your life. You made working at Paychex even better. Our conversations about RIT hockey, NFL football and many other topics was always a treat. Your annual Halloween song play on the Monster Mash was hilarious. Since I learned of your passing I haven't been able to stop thinking of you. There won't be a day going forward that I won't think of you. Say hi to Dave N up there from all of us who miss him. You will be MISSED.

I worked with Mark for almost 20 years. He always made me feel lazy compared to the the effort he put in to life. He was more than a coworker to many of us at Paychex, he was a friend. Whether it was fantasy drafts, happy hours, summer picnics..... Mark was always there. We are going to miss him tremendously. Our thoughts are with his family and friends

Mark was a wonderful friend. We had so much fun over the years, talking sports of all sorts. He was also a very hard worker and an inspiration to his Paychex colleagues. He accomplished so much, despite dealing with daily adversity. Somehow, he always seemed to have a smile on his face. He taught those of us who worked with him every day a real life lesson. I will miss him tremendously.

I worked with Mark for many years, he was a great co-worker and friend. Many conversations about the Jets and Giants and who was better....or worse :) Such a great person and he always ran our fantasy and LMS leagues, I remember the draft days at Tullys, so much fun and laughter. He never complained about anything and always had a smile on his face, even when we found a bug in his code, although he would never admit it. He will surely be missed. Thoughts and prayers for the Komar family and everyone he interacted with throughout the years.

My condolences to his family. I worked with Mark for several years and had a blast sitting by him. We talked sports a lot. We got Mark to keep stats in our Saturday basketball pick-up league. I'll never forget all the players lobbying Mark to pad stats after every game. He loved it. I will miss him.
