Mark Wayne Lancaster, known as “Mud” by his friends, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at the age of 59, in Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
He was born February 10, 1964, in Shelbyville, the son of Earl W. and Marilyn Jean (Bennett) Lancaster.
Mark is survived by his brother, Scott Lancaster and wife, Heather, of Shelbyville; aunts, Carol Fowler and Charlotte Hensley, both of Shelbyville, Marsha James of Rushville, and Bobbi Bennett of Greenfield; nephew, Cody Wayman; niece, Jessica Six; and numerous loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In 1982, Mark graduated from Triton Central High School.
He was a counter top specialist and a shade tree mechanic.
Mark enjoyed ATV off roading and spending time with his friends and family.
He loved animals and leaves behind dog, Chase.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelbyville-Shelby County Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
