Mark Edward Lasater passed away May 19, 2024 at Akron City Hospital. Mark was born in Akron on September 12, 1963. He loved his family dearly and had a special and close bond with his brother, John, and nephew Cody who were ever present for his daily care over the past 29 years. Mark loved to read books, a lot of science fiction. He enjoyed building and working on computers, rock and roll music and movies. He loved to plant and garden vegetables for a few years. He loved to eat; some of his favorites were Argentine and Indian cuisine cooked at home, Belgrade Gardens chicken and chicken & dumplings, banana cream pies and banana splits.
Mark was preceded in death by his loving parents, Kenneth and Shirley Lasater. Mark is survived by his brothers John Lasater, Keith Lasater and sister Malinda (Dave) Mooney, Nephew Cody Lasater, Nieces: Lisa (Dale) Thompson, Laura (Michael) Reid, Katie (Nick) Eddleman and Kayla (Kevin) Taras, numerous great nieces, nephews, and many close cousins and friends. We will all miss you so much Mark and will keep you close in our hearts.
Per Mark's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration to honor Mark's life will be held at St Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2121 6th Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221 on Friday, May 31st with visitation at 11:00 and service at 12:00, Pastor Jim Steingass officiating with time of fellowship to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mark's honor to Malinda Mooney to off-set final expenses).
