Dr. Mark D. Leodori

Dr. Mark Dante Leodori ("Doc") passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024, at the age of 68 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Paula, cherished father of Douglas (wife Nicole) and Joseph (wife Lauren) and loving grandfather of Lucas and brothers Paul (wife Patrice) and Tim (wife Maryanne), as well as nieces and nephews.
He was raised in Allendale, New Jersey and graduated from Northern Highlands Regional High School in 1973 where he was a varsity football player. He graduated from Hiram College in 1977, attended The Ohio School of Podiatric Medicine and thereafter completed a surgical residency in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1981 he returned to establish a life-long podiatry practice in Totowa as a Board-Certified Podiatric Surgeon. He was on staff at both Saint Joseph's Hospital in Paterson and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, until his retirement in 2021.
While raising his family in Ramsey, Mark was an active and successful recreation soccer coach for many years. He especially enjoyed sharing his second home in Avalon, New Jersey with friends and family where he enjoyed boating, birdwatching, fishing, clamming, and exploring the backbay area to find the next best crabbing spot.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024, between 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, New Jersey. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Paul RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey, New Jersey which will be followed by interment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Salvation Army.
