Mark Choy Lew

Mark Choy Lew of Monroe passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 10, 2026. Mark was born in Clearwater, Florida on May 3rd, 1959, to Beatrice (Mumford) and Kam Lew.

He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Atlanta in 1977. Mark met Marcia George, the love of his life, in the early 80's and they were married on May 19, 1984. He served briefly in the Navy before working as a mechanic at the Saturn dealership in Decatur until 2008.

He had two children, Christopher and Catherine. He would say they are his greatest accomplishments. He liked to take them fishing and would cheer them on while they played sports. Mark loved going to movies and had a passion for music. He enjoyed playing guitar and in his later years would spend time playing in Piedmont Park. Mark was dedicated to his family as they were always the most important thing to him. He was always described as being kind, loving and compassionate son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, as well as his nephew, Mark Lew.

He is survived by his son, Christopher, his daughter, Catherine, his brother and sister-in-law David and Leslie Lew of Roswell and nephew, Kam Lew of Roswell.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pat Cavanaugh officiating.
