Mark Anthony Lyssy

Mark Anthony Lyssy peacefully entered his eternal rest on December 12, 2025. Born on January 6, 1976, in Floresville, Texas, Mark was the beloved son of Mary Louise Gawlik Lyssy and Robert Leon Lyssy. Throughout his life, Mark embodied a gentle spirit and a childlike innocence, which was both heartwarming and inspiring to those around him.

Despite facing lifelong illness, Mark found happiness in the simplest of pleasures. He cherished moments playing checkers or connect four, bouncing his favorite ball, and losing himself in the imaginative worlds he created with Legos. Mark delighted in watching football, listening to music, and savoring every experience, no matter how small. His innocent perspective and joyful heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mark is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Mary Louise Gawlik Lyssy and Robert Leon Lyssy; his maternal grandparents, Mary Janysek Gawlik and Louis Fabian Gawlik; and paternal grandparents, Rosa Moczygemba Lyssy and Felix Lyssy. He joins his aunts Alice Gawlik Andrews, Paula Lyssy, Lola Lyssy, and uncles Gabriel James Gawlik, Louis Fabian Gawlik II, Lucian Lyssy, and Albert Lyssy in eternal rest.

Mark leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his sister Robin "Robie" Lyssy; devoted aunt Alene Pawelek, his aunts Rose Gawlik Gonzales (Oscar), Darlene Gawlik Herrera (Richard), Delores Lyssy Mzyk (Donnie); uncles Gene Gawlik (Linda), Paul Lyssy, Raymond Lyssy, and numerous other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to honor Mark's life at a Visitation on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Vinyard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Dewees Cemetery.
