Mark was born in Plainfield to Josephine and Rocco Marcketta and was raised in Millburn alongside his two brothers, Rocco and Robert. He graduated from Millburn High School and attended Middlesex County College, graduating with his associate's degree in computer science. He worked for various companies as a Technical Project Manager and most recently for Fiserv.
Mark raised his family in Hillsborough, NJ and East Hanover, NJ.
While Mark was an incredible father, son, and brother, he truly shined and will be remembered most for his greatest love: his grandchildren. As Nonno, he was his grandchildren's best friend, biggest supporter and a constant presence in their lives. The only thing he ever wanted was the gift of time with his family.
Mark is predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Rocco Marcketta. He is survived by his children, Anthony (and his wife, Julie) Marcketta; Carly (and her fiancé, Vinny Albano) Marcketta; and Danielle (and her husband, Gareth) Chitticks; his beloved grandchildren: Mila and Harry; and his brothers, Rocco and Robert Marcketta.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4-8pm at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield NJ 07090.
In lieu of flowers, Mark's family asks that donations be made in Mark's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
