Mark D. Markey, a husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024, in Cherry Hill, NJ, at the age of 67. Born on August 12, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA. Beloved husband of 35 years to Cammie (nee Ridgway). Loving father of Joe Markey. Mark is also survived by his brother and four sisters.
Professionally, Mark dedicated over 30 years of service to the Willingboro Board of Education as a boiler engineer. His hard work and expertise not only ensured the comfort and safety of countless students and staff but also earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Mark also contributed to his community as a Life Member of the Willingboro Volunteer Fire Company.
Mark's interests painted the picture of a man who savored life's simple pleasures and adventures. He was happiest when boating, with the sun on his face and the water stretching out before him. His love for vacationing in Avalon and North Carolina was a testament to his appreciation for nature's beauty and tranquility. Mark also enjoyed the excitement of trips to Atlantic City and the camaraderie of watching sports, especially when cheering on his favorite Philadelphia teams.
Service will be held privately.
