Mr. Mark Alan McCrite, 63, of Newnan, died Monday, September 9, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born May 27, 1961, in Atlanta, he was a son of the late David Alan McCrite and the late Hazel Deloris Morris McCrite. Mark was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church. He retired as a general contractor, after operating his own business for many years. Mark was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a jokester and big NASCAR fan, and also enjoyed water sports.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rebecca A. McCrite; daughters, Amanda Barth (Alex), and Erica Hope Thompson (Zachary); sons, Alan Ballew, Jon Ballew, and Lee Smith; his brother, Drew McCrite (Christy); and grandchildren, Rachel Ballew, Christopher Ballew, Connor Malone, Katie Malone, Rosalee Ballew, Hunter Stasiulaitis, Kendra Stasiulaitis, and Paislee Thompson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024.
