Mark Miller Obituary
Born in Bethlehem, PA, Mark was the son of Frederick and Dorothy (Smith) Miller. He graduated from William Allen High School in Allentown, PA and continued his education at East Stroudsburg University.
Mark devoted his professional life to helping others as a speech-language pathologist. His career began at Easterseals-an organization that held a special place in his heart, where he was once a camper and later a counselor. It was also there that he met the love of his life, Rae (Mekeel). They were just 15 years old when they first met, beginning a love story that grew into 49 years of marriage.
After many years with the Bethlehem Area School District, Mark retired in 2012 to spend more time with his grandson, John. Before long, three more grandchildren-Harrison, Sarah, and Julia-followed, and "Grandpa" quickly became Mark's favorite title.
Mark cherished family vacations to Long Beach Island, New Jersey, where he spent countless happy hours out on the bay aboard his boat, Big Nuff. He was generous with his time and talents, serving as an active member of Grace Church in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley Amateur Radio Club. Over the years, he also volunteered with Brainerd Church Camp, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Bethlehem Area School District School Men's Association.
Mark will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Rae (Mekeel) Miller; his children, Mandy (Jarrett) Laubach and Martin Miller (Jennifer); his grandchildren, John, Harrison, Sarah, and Julia; his brother, Larry Miller (Robin); eleven nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mark's life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Church, 4301 Hecktown Road, Bethlehem, PA. A light lunch will be served at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Rae asks that donations be made to Grace Church, 4301 Hecktown Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Sadness does not even describe our loss. We loved Mark. He was a very special person who never complained about his challenges. We will always remember our great times together whether filled with laughter or tears. Mark was always interested in what was going on in your life. I had the privilege to work alongside Mark at BASD. He was an absolutely amazing person! His dedication to the students was unmatched. Mark was the lone male in a group of 10 SLPs and he took it all in stride! You could always count him in for every baby or bridal shower, where he was usually the only male. Mark always had the best stories and made us all laugh so much. He was loved and admired by so many and will be greatly missed by so many.
