Mark Kauffman

Mark Andrew Kauffman (45) passed away unexpectedly on January 20th, 2026 in his home in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Mark was born in Bethlehem on July 26th, 1980, to mother Jane Kauffman (pre-deceased) and father M. Lee Kauffman.

He worked hard for much of his life in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with his longest employment being at the iconic Brass Rail Restaurant on Lehigh St. in Allentown. He loved sports, especially baseball, and was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies but on the football front, rooted fiercely for the NY Giants. He really enjoyed playing games with his family and those he was closest with. Whether it was cards, chess, Acquire, or any of the other countless board games in the closet, he rarely turned down a chance to play something and was his happiest talking and laughing at those tables. He had a passion for writing and was moved by all types of music, but found the most connection to the melodies and lyrics of the Counting Crows. At his best, Mark was fun, loving, and full of life, and he will be greatly missed by his family and a lucky few who really got a chance to know him.

Mark is survived by his father Lee and stepmother Sue, his stepfather Ron, his brothers Brian and Gregg, stepbrother Adam, and stepsisters Michelle and Kim.
