Mark Mlinaz of Canton, MI passed away Aug. 27, 2025 of a Heart Attack. He was born in Detroit on August, 18th, 1952 and was a member of St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church. Mark is survived by the following loved ones. He cherished his sister Janice Sunderland, husband Al, their son Brad and wife Kelly. He adored his cousins Tom Stefanac and dear Pat, Mike Stefanac (Germaine), Barbie Morel (Don), and second cousins, Nick, Steve, Amelia, Paul, Roy, and Jack. He loved the family he grew up with, Gail and Trace Purcell, their children Katie and Cody. He always had a little "twinkle" in his eye for little Michelle and Elise! Mark will be missed by Jerry…his great friend and weekly lunch buddy. He was an avid sports enthusiast. College football was his passion. Mark graduated from Western Michigan and Indiana University (MBA), but nothing kept him away from his loyalty to the University of Michigan's football team! A great day meant being around friends, family, and watching the Wolverines play. Mark was kind, quiet (except at a football game),and found the "wonder and marvel in the ordinary."

Janice, I am so sorry to hear of your beloved brother´s passing. I remember meeting Mark when I stayed at your parent´s house in Dearborn one weekend while we were in college (MSU). It was a fun weekend away to visit your family. They were so wonderful, I truly enjoyed spending time with them. Mark was there to show off his great sense of humor, and keep us laughing. He obviously adored YOU. May his memory forever live in your heart.
