Michael "Mike" Duane Pitcher December 17, 1979 – August 5, 2025 Michael "Mike" Duane Pitcher, age 45, of Novi, MI, passed away surrounded by love and family. Born on December 17, 1979, in Farmington Hills, MI to Duane D. Pitcher and Michelle Zinski, Mike lived a life marked by deep devotion to his family, unwavering positivity, and a heart full of generosity. Mike served his country honorably in the United States Navy. Following his service, he dedicated 25 years of his career to Etna Supply, where he not only found purpose but also worked alongside his beloved wife, Lyndsay Austin. Their love story was one of strength, humor, and unwavering partnership. Mike was the loving father of Justin Pitcher and Abby Austin, and the beloved son of Duane (Valerie Watson) Pitcher and Michelle (Mark) Tyo. He was a cherished son-in-law to Ken and Joanne Pawenski. Mike was a dear brother to Aaron (Trisha), Jeremy (Dawn), Christie, TJ (Emily), Chelsea, and Karlee. He also held a special place in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Mike's passions reflected the kind and curious soul he was. An avid reader, he believed in the power of stories and learning, something he joyfully shared with others. His intelligence was matched by his quick wit and great sense of humor-traits that made him a joy to be around. He was a karate master, a movie trivia enthusiast, a lover of sharks and Lego building, and someone who found true happiness in nature, near the lake or pool, gaming, or enjoying good food with the people he loved. More than anything, Mike adored spending time with his family. Whether it was a quiet evening together or a big family gathering, those moments meant everything to him. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Etna Supply for the unwavering love and support shown to Mike and Lyndsay during this incredibly difficult time. A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 11, 2025, at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI. A Celebration of Michael's Life will follow at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Mike's lifelong love of reading, the family kindly asks that you bring a children's book to the visitation. All books received will be donated to a local children's hospital to help inspire young readers in Mike's memory. Mike's legacy of kindness, laughter, strength, and love will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be missed deeply, remembered fondly, and honored always.
