Mark Murray Obituary
Mark built a long and dedicated career as a college and professional (CFL) football coach, shaping not only athletes but young people who carried his lessons far beyond the field. His love of the game was matched only by his love of life-he was at his happiest on a golf course or spending time with his beloved chocolate Lab, Toby.
Known for his outgoing nature, Mark had a gift for storytelling. He could fill a room with laughter, and he approached life with a sense of fun that drew people in and made them feel at ease. Friends and family will remember him for his warmth, humor, and the way he made every gathering a little brighter.
Mark is survived by his wife, Dr. Peggy Siedman; his sister, Mary Turner and her husband Dan; and his brother, Bill Jr.In addition, he will be fondly remembered by his niece Mickie Turner, nephew Ryan Turner (Jen), and great- niece Meah Turner.
He was predeceased by his parents, William F. Murray Sr. and Rosalie Condron Murray.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The Murrman. I got hired at Navy back in 1991. Little did I know I was about to meet one of the greatest individuals and coaching influences in my life. Murr took me under his wing and taught me how to be a coach, friend and representative of the Naval Academy. He and I and a few other coaches were inseparable for 3+ years. We lost touch over the years but reconnected in June of last year. It was a great reunion to hear his voice. He had a sense of humor that was unmatched. Murr usually said what most of us would think but had an uncanny way of saying it with class. God speed ol friend and prayers to his family.
