Mark Navarrette, 74, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Mark was born on May 30, 1951 in Phoenix, AZ. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Phoenix and went on to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Physics and a master's degree in economics. Mark enjoyed working on clocks and watches and was a certified locksmith. From 1977-1986, he was employed by the CIA. In 1986, Mark joined NGA (previously NIMA and DMA) with an accumulative total of over 30 years of government service.
Over his long career, Mark served the Intelligence community and the Department of Defense as a security expert, supervisor and manager of numerous security and special security programs. He was the recipient of numerous awards, most notably, the Vice President Al Gore's Hammer award for re-engineering NGA product delivery.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 41 years, JoAnn Navarrette; brother, David (Flora); and sister, Brenda.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
