Mark Andrew Pelkowski, age 57, of Erie, passed away Sunday February 4, 2024 at AHN St. Vincent.
He was born in Erie, on March 20, 1966, a son to Virginia Gott Pelkowski and the late Thomas J. Pelkowski.
Mark attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and McDowell High School, class of 1984. He worked at Sunburst Electronics for many years as the Inventory and Supply manager. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguin’s fan. He loved music, especially following local bands and visiting various local venues to support them. Mark was kind, had a huge heart and most of all was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed time spent with childhood friends from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and McDowell as well as his gang from Haggerty’s.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Pelkowski.
In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his daughter, Jessica Benoit of Asheville, NC; a sister, Christine Chrostowski (Gary) of Erie; a brother, Thomas Pelkowski, of FL.; nieces and nephew, Ashley Ann Lancaster, Tommy Pelkowski, Carly Chrostowski (and fiancé Ben Stritzinger), and Lindsey Chrostowski. He is further survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his sweetheart, Christine Garczynski King.
Friends and family are invited to call at the Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St., Erie on Friday, February 9 from 5 until 7 pm. A funeral service will be held private at the convenience of the family.
