In Loving Memory of Mark Steven Piacenza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Steven Piacenza, who left us on

August 20, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on May 5, 1969, Mark was a beloved son, brother,

uncle, friend, and cherished member of the community.

Though Mark faced challenges in life, he carried a spirit full of joy, kindness, and determination.

His smile could brighten the darkest room, and his gentle nature touched the hearts of

everyone who knew him. Mark had a unique way of seeing the world-bringing laughter and

warmth to those around him with his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering love.

Known to many as DJ Marko Polo, Mark had a deep passion for music, especially the songs of

Elton John and Billy Joel. He brought life to every gathering, often spinning tunes that made

people dance, laugh, and feel connected. He also had a sweet tooth for chocolate ice cream

and a heart that taught us all about the beauty of simple pleasures, unconditional love,

patience, and the true meaning of acceptance.

While Mark may have had different abilities, his strength, courage, and perseverance were

unmatched. He lived life in his own special way, inspiring those around him every day.

Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our family extends it's heartfelt thanks to his devoted guardian, Stephanie Hilton, and the

dedicated team at Northeast Residential Services. Special gratitude to Enock and the

caregivers at Harding House in Chelmsford, Till Day Habilitation, and the many compassionate

providers who supported Mark over the years. Our thanks also to the nurses and staff at Lowell

General Hospital for the exceptional care you provided in his final days.

Mark is survived by his mother, Janet L. Piacenza of Nashua, NH; his brothers, Anthony E.

Piacenza of Hudson, NH, and Jeff A. Piacenza of Nashua, NH; as well as his beloved nieces

and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Piacenza, with whom he

shared a birthday.

A graveside service in honor of Mark will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00

AM at Hills Farm Cemetery, located behind Alvirne Chapel, 160 Derry Street, Hudson, NH.

In lieu of flowers, we invite you to honor Mark's memory by performing a random act of

kindness, perhaps by buying ice cream for someone ahead of or behind you in line, or simply

offering a gesture of compassion to a stranger. Mark's spirit lives on in the kindness we share

with others.

Rest in peace, Mark.

You will be forever loved and remembered.
