MARK A. QUADE
Mr. Mark Quade of Okawville, IL departed this life at his residence on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 4:19 P.M. following a sudden illness. He had attained the age of 68 years and 5 months.
Mark was born in Highland, IL on December 5, 1954, the son of Charles and Margaret (nee Nord) Quade.
Mr. Quade worked as a construction laborer and homebuilder, among various other jobs. He enjoyed taking "off the beaten path" road trips to see the many interesting sights that the United States has to offer. He especially loved the road trip he took down historic Route 66 from Illinois to California. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and birdwatching. Mark was also a bit of a tinkerer and liked repairing old lawnmowers.
Left to mourn his passing are his three children, Shelly Sutcliffe and husband Joe of Palmyra, MO, Adam Quade and his partner Fred Gischer of Sparta, IL, and Kelsey Quade and husband Zachary Cochran of Belleville, IL; a grandson, Cody Sutcliffe; five siblings, Mary Jo Prusa and husband Frank of Highland, Judy Knowles of Swansea, IL, Charles Quade of O'Fallon, IL, Barbara Weatherholt and husband Charles of Belleville, and Robert Quade and wife Beverly of Highland; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Diane Quade.
In accordance with the wishes of the family, cremation will be performed.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Louis Zoo Annual Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
