He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas Eric Rierson III and Irene Marie Rierson, and his nephew Nicholas Eric Rierson V.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cassandra Z. Rierson, and his son Eric Christopher aged 30.
Survivors also include a sister, Karen Benedict (husband Ben Benedict), a brother, Nicholas Eric Rierson IV and nephew Gregory Benedict.
Mark was a devoted husband, father and friend known for his generosity and warmth.
Mark owned and ran a very successful contracting company, Constant Current, Inc., for 35 years. He worked alongside his trusted partner and friend, Kevin Williams.
Mark was a fun-loving person that believed if you didn't learn one new thing each day you've wasted your day. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable.
Mark's love of music kept him in numerous bands over a lifetime.
The world is quieter and less vibrant now without his "live out loud personality".
He was so very much loved and will be sorely missed.

Mark, As we navigate your loss, my thoughts are with your family. You fought a long hard fight bravely, quietly, and without fanfare. It was a pleasure to watch you live life "your way" by showing us your depth of love and friendship and that doing the right thing is not that hard. Rest in peace my friend and thanks for the music and memories. We will miss that smile that lit up the room!
