Mark A. Rose, Sr., 54 of Mount Pleasant died on Monday November 17, 2025 in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA. He was born on March 4, 1971 in Somerset, PA a son of the late Charles Eugene "Gene" and Dolly Pirl Rose. Mark was a graduate of Connellsville High School and he was employed as a steelworker at the US Steel Clairton Works. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union where he served as a Grievance Officer. He was also a member of the Calumet VFD and member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Dunbar. He is survived by his wife, Amy Strauser Rose; his sons, Mark Rose, Jr. and his wife Emma of Ruffsdale, Austin Rose of Mount Pleasant and Brandon Rose and his wife Faith of Mount Pleasant; his grandchildren, Oakley Rose, Lakota Rose, Lakelyn Rose and Brandon Rose, Jr.; his siblings, Kenneth Rose and his wife Yvonne of Connellsville, Robin Dial and her husband A.J. of Jacksonville, FL and David Rose and his wife Ranella of Indian Head; his mother-in-law, Sharon Strauser of Uniontown and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Larry "Steve" Rose and his father-in-law, Donald Strauser. Family and friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday with Pastor Ronald Boyd officiating.
