Mark Edward Saunders, 66, of Plum, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
He was born on September 2, 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late James and Ann (Blose) Saunders.
Mark is survived by his son, Benjamen (Kimberly LaSalle) Saunders, and his daughter, Laurel (Eric Maholtz) Saunders. He is also survived by his brothers, Jeff (Barb) and John (Cindy) Saunders. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James (Irmgard) and Bill (Jan) Saunders.
Mark was a warm and kind man whose favorite pastimes included watching and playing sports, cooking, and sharing meals with his family. He is especially remembered for his optimistic spirit and sense of humor.
He took great pride in several aspects of his life-playing as a pitcher in the Minor Leagues, co-owning the Regent Square Tavern (RST) with his brother Jeff, and most importantly, being a loving father to Ben and Laurel.
His children will forever cherish the happy memories they shared with him: playing catch outside, watching movies, and spending time together as a family.
Mark will be deeply missed by many.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Jobe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to The Salvation Army. Online condolences can be given at www.jobefuneralhome.com.

Such sad news to hear. I grew up with Mark, and have so many warm memories of him and his family. I knew Mark to be such a kind, sweet, and sincere person. Makes my heart smile to think of those days. May his memory be a blessing, it will be to me.
