Mark Joseph Schlink, 64, of Montgomery, passed away after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on February 13, 2024. Born on October 26, 1959, raised in Burnsville. Mark was a dedicated member of the Navy Seals -Team 1 from 1981 to 1985, serving his country with honor and courage.
Mark was a perfectionist and took pride in always doing what was right. He was a master plumber who taught many others the trade during his career. Being a caring, considerate and a friend to all were traits he was known for. Without fail, Mark would text a Bible verse to his friends and family daily until his health kept him from doing so.
Mark is survived by his beloved mother, Ruth Schlink; and his siblings, Jeff Schlink (JoAnne), Debbie Grendahl (Phil), Ron Schlink (Nancy) and Joe Schlink (Susan). He was a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, including Katie, Kyle (Shea), Aaron (Kailey), Anita (Alan), Jeremy, Matt (Kathleen), Jory (Alisha), Alex (Sage), Megan, Kirsten (Zach), Jake (Markie), Zach (Kayla) and Joey (Jazzi); as well as many great nieces and nephews. Mark's faithful and loving dogs, Millie and Molly, were also by his side throughout his life.
He was preceded in death, by his father, Harold Schlink; and close friends and roommates, Penny and Dorothy Hage.
A ceremony celebrating Mark's life will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at The River Community Church, located at 528 4th Ave. NW Faribault - 55021. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the service at 5:00 PM. A reception will be held afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The River Community Church, Faribault in Mark's memory.
Boldt Funeral Home in Faribault, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
