Mark W. Sconzert, 95, of Luxemburg, passed away on June 28, 2025. Mark was born on October 22, 1929 to William and Louise (Monfils) on the home farm in Luxemburg.
Mark was drafted into the Army in February 1954. He served in Korea as an Engineer Equipment Mechanic. He earned multiple ribbons during his service.
After his discharge from the service in 1955 Mark was happy to return home and begin working on the farm again. He later bought the family dairy farm, and spent many years happily farming.
On October 20th, 1956, he married Darlene Maus at St. Josephs Church in Oneida. They shared 68 years together and raised four children.
After retiring from farming in 2001, Mark kept himself busy by building birdhouses, gardening, and restoring tractors.
Mark is survived by his wife, Darlene; his children: Kerry (Patricia) Sconzert, Kelly (Randy) Hamilton, Kevin Sconzert, and Kristopher Sconzert; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Jeanette Sconzert and Carol Simonar; brother-in-law, Gary (Charlene) Maus; 2 sisters-in-law, Sharon (Spencer) Linder and Judy Maus. Mark is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Arthur and Marie Maus; siblings: Vernon Sconzert, Kenneth Sconzert and Berdina Lemens; grandchildren: Amanda Sconzert and Danielle Sconzert; Mark is further preceded by many in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle (5930 Humboldt Rd, Luxemburg, WI 54217). Funeral Mass will be held immediately following at 11:00 am with Fr. Patrick Beno officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Hubert Cemetery.
