Peggy and Family,

We are so saddened by cousin Mark's passing. He was so much fun at family reunions -- always smiling and wanting to hear what was going on with folks. He had a great sense of humor -- rather Jay Leno-like -- mostly kind, always funny!

I remember the last get-together at the Dover church near Chetek, WI, and will cherish the photos of that day -- all the Scotts lined up outside that quaint little church on the hill where it all began for the Scotts in this country.

Sorry we couldn't attend the service but a few of us Scotts (Rick, Ron, myself) had our own little service for him at the top of a mountain in Utah. We'll miss him at future reunions. We wish you peace and healing through this difficult time.

Love,
Cindy and Brad McDonnell

Dear Peggy and Scott Family,
I learned this morning of Mark's passing and seeing his picture with that infectious smile brought tears of sadness yet great memories to my mind. I was a co-worker of Mark's a few years ago at Electramatic. He did indeed bring so much joy to our office every day and everywhere he stepped foot. Your family is in my prayers this holiday season and I pray that God will be near to you all.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas! Mark is smiling down on each one of you!

My deepest sympathy's

Peggy and Family,

So sorry to hear about Mark's passing. I had the opportunity to talk with him at the last Kingsford reunion. I did spend six years at the U of M, but that may have before you moved to the Mpls-St. Paul area.

My prayers and thoughts are with you now in this time of sorrow.

Dear Peggy & Family
I was sad and surprised to hear that Mark had passed away. I hadn't seen Mark for several years, and didn't know of his battle. We were friends. I'll always remember Mark's smile, his jokes and his love of the Packers. Peggy, hang in there.

Dear Peggy and Family,
I am so sad to hear of Mark's passing away. When we talked this summer, it was so good to hear both of your voices; not knowing that would be the last time I talked to him. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Let's keep in touch.
Sincerely,

Dear Peggy,

Debbie and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Mark. As members of the old CDC ski club, we share timeless memories of the unique, fun, life-loving human being that Mark was. In some tiny way we share in your great loss but we will always cherish how our lives were enriched by just knowing Mark. I can hear his laugh right now. Sturgis, Duelling 80's, 40th birthday party, Herges bar, bus trips.... It was impossible to be gloomy if Mark was nearby.

Mark had a strong desire to live. He outdistanced his prognosis by many months. Also Mark lived life fully. I remember his motorcycle days, his Nascar test-run in Las Vegas, the camping days, but mostly, I'll remember his big, gregarious laugh......the kind of laugh that left no doubt, yes, that was Mark!
Peggy, dear sister, I feel for you. You two should be planning your retirement years together, instead of unfortunate task of reading this guest book. What a shame, Mark was too young to pass. But, you never know when you time will come. I wish I could be there at the funeral to give you a big hug and support you, but I can't get away. Just be assured that Mark is on the top of my prayer list right now, and you're second. May God give you the strength and comfort you need to carry on.
Love, Your Bro, John, Marilyn and Sparky, too.

To Peggy and all of Mark's family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. The world has lost a great guy. I was fortunate to have met Mark back in the 80's by doing his hair for years. He was always a bright spot in my day, came in with a smile, and always found something to raz me about. He knew how to give a person a hard time in such a fun-loving way. It has been some time since I have seen him, but I am sure he was still a joy to be around. I am saddened to hear he had such a long hard battle, I pray he is at peace now. My thoughts and prayers are with you Peggy, as you travel through this very difficult time in your life.
Sincerely,
Doreen Swanson

Peggy,

You and Mark were there when we first met and have been an important part of our lives ever since. We'll miss Mark when we visit. He was so good with Michelle and made us feel welcome whenever we saw each other. We're comforted by the knowledge that he's with Marge, Sophie and Joey and the rest of his family. We're glad that we had the chance to spend some time with him earlier this year when you visited "Da Region" and we visited Minnesota. Our love and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Words cannot express how saddened we were to hear that Mark passed away. Battling cancer is never an easy task to bare, but thank God he had you and the rest of his family there to help him along the way.

Dave and I will always remember the "good old Control Data Ski Club" days with fondness -- all the partying, joke telling, good food, Packer-Viking disagreements, drinking and yes, even some skiing. Mark was such a dynamic person to be around, and even though we weren't able to see you and Mark this past year, please know that you were always in our thoughts and prayers.

May God Bless you all and help you through this difficult time. It does get easier as time goes on, especially if you remember that Mark is at peace in Heaven.

Peggy,
Gloria and I are very saddened by the news of Mark’s death. I will remember our many parties and ski trips together. He was always the center of the party and he knew how to bring people togather and enjoy life. His strong hardy laugh and many jokes I'll never forget. I consider myself very fortunate to have had both you and Mark as friends and I'll always treasure that as long as I live.

Dear Peggy & Family, Roger, Nancy, Desi, Kyra, & Bill:

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this most difficult time.

Through the other "Scott" family I have had the privelege and pleasure of knowing Uncle Mark. There are many fond memories of Ski Jumps, Lyman Street, weddings, yes, even those days dating back to Edna and Elmer. Oh what a fond memory of the fun fill day we all had cleaning out Elmer's garage :)

In as much as he tried to play tough guy, there was none of that in him, he was all heart once you broke through the barrier. He was full of laughter, sarcasm and had a powerful prescence and always, always treated me as one of the Scott family.

He was just good people!

My condoloscenes to all of you.

Mark was my favorite "sales guy" when he would come into my office at Holaday Industries. How I have missed his laughter since Holaday moved to Texas. I did get to see him at Back to the 50's a couple of years ago, which was a treat. I will always smile when I think of him.
I am so sorry for your loss. He was very proud of his family.

I'm mark's sister in law, the one with the four dogs, whom drove mark nuts. Mark always took time for my kids years ago, motorcycle rides, alpine slides, and alot of kidding around. I'm gonna miss him, his house is just too quiet right now. We would always kid around back and forth, Mark loved to correct my english and tell me what product I should be using for whatever. My life just won't be the same when I visit my sister. He loved to take us for a ride in his beautiful cars, although I had to take my shoes off before entering the car, and of course, I couldn't eat in the car either. Mark was Mark and forget about changing him. He was very special in his oun way. He was a fun guy who knew about everyone in Minn. and Wisc.I have 30 years of memories that I can cherish. I will miss you Mark, I was waiting for you to come home from work last night, but you never did. It's gonna take time.

Dear Peg:

I am so sorry for death of Mark. I know that it has been a very long and heartbreaking battle for both you and Mark. You have faced it with incredible courage and strength which is just what Mark needed. Although you will miss him dearly, you should feel the relief of knowing that he is finally free of his pain and suffering and in a much better world now. He'll look down at you and smile knowing that you were the best thing that ever happened to him and that you took care of him until the very end.

I am out of town and will not be back in time for his service tomorrow evening. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Your Rock-Tenn family will be here to support you during this difficult time. If I personally can do something for you, please ask.

May the good Lord help you through this difficult time.

Sincerely,
