Mark Stephen Strickland

Mr. Mark Stephen Strickland, 48, passed away July 10th, 2022. Mark was born on November 30, 1973, in Guilford County. He was an avid sports fan and played many sports throughout school including football, baseball and basketball. His favorite teams included the North Carolina Tarheels, Washington Redskins, and Atlanta Braves. Mark's favorite past times included spending time with family and friends, hanging out on the lake or at the beach, taking vacations, watching movies, going to sporting events and he loved collecting hats and shoes. He worked as a Project Manager for AAR Roofing for 20 years. You could always count on him to fill a room with smiles and laughter. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years Michelle Strickland of the home; two daughters Kelsie Strickland (Haley Strickland) of Browns Summit, NC and Courtney Strickland of Kernersville, NC; special niece Leeyah Barber; mother Nancy Perry of Gold Hill, NC; two brothers Timothy Strickland of Gold Hill, NC and Kelly Goudy (Lisa Goudy) of Gibsonville, NC, step-sister Karma Wilson (Ronnie Wilson) of Boone, NC. Mark was also survived by a large community of close family and friends, who loved him very much.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Joseph Earl Strickland and step-father Harold Douglas "Doug" Perry.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Turning Point Church in Kernersville NC, on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at 12:00 pm. In celebration of Mark please wear your Tarheel, Redskins, or Braves T-Shirt/Jersey, or similar colors. A reception will be held following the Celebration of Life at AAR Roofing.
